An exhibition of works by Henry Moore (1898 – 1986), a British sculptor, is available at Kew Gardens 15th September 2007 - 30th March 2008. The artist is known for his large-scale works, that is why his exhibitions are usually organised at open spaces. Kew Gardens, with its 300 acres of land, is a perfect venue for that. You will have to leave some 3 hours if you want to explore 28 large-scale sculptures in a thorough way. Exhibits include Moore’s reclining compositions, abstract works and some more common masterpieces, like Mother and Child. Some works have never been exhibited in London before. There is also a choice of activities and events provided, such as Henry Moore film and an exhibition telling how the artist worked. For the most inquisitive ones there are guided tours organised every day at 12.00.
