Live Earth is organised July 7th at London’s huge concert venue - Wembley Stadium. The event is aimed to raise public awareness of environmental problems such as global warming and air pollution and takes place in different countries all around the globe, including US, Brazil, China, Australia, South Africa and Japan. It took off in Sydney and will be finished with a concert in the USA. As for London, July 7th Londoners will see performances by many world-renowned stars: the event’s headliners are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys and Madonna. Among the other performers are: Corinne Bailey Rae, Bloc Party, Foo Fighters, Duran Duran, Razorlight, Snow Patrolm David Gray, John Legend, Black Eyed Peas and Keane. Gains from the festival will be form the foundation for an international initiative to combat the climate crisis, led by the Alliance for Climate Protection, which is chaired by former US Presidential candidate Al Gore.
