Unusual as it might seem, the Day of the Dead is not a gloomy or pessimistic holiday. The event takes place in the end of April and is aimed to show once again that every living creature is mortal, and to remember those who already passed away with fondness and respect. Several events are organized at the Conway Hall. Each year the subject is different. For instance, in the previous years those were art exhibitions, music and theatrical performances related to death, some debates on important issues, such as the necessity of euthanasia, and even coffin-making workshop. This year, there is The London Green Funeral Exhibition organized on April 28th by The Natural Death Centre. This is a lecture and an exhibition for those who want to learn some facts about funerals, and green consuming funerals I particular.
