Transport for London has recently announced that one of the greatest world sports events, Tour de France, will be opened in London this year. The starting point for the race will be Trafalgar square, welcoming sportsmen on Friday 6th July. Then, during three days there will be the Prologue and Stage taking place on the capital’s streets July 6-8. Thus, during the prologue stage sportsmen will make a 8-kilometre ride, passing through the city’s landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and others. Stage One will also lie through important sites such as Big Ben, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral and more. Before the ride, there will be a publicity caravan - a huge carnival containing lots of vehicles passing through the streets of London. And of course, some roads will be closed for several hours during the events. Don’t miss the chance to see the best in cycle racing!
