Even though nowadays young people are portrayed as glamour and stylish outside, but hollow inside, good examples that disprove this credo can often be seen. For instance, in contrast to this there was an exhibition of Emma Hardy's photo works called “Exceptional Youth” recently opened at the National Portrait Gallery. 19 photos of exceptional youngsters are displayed to the public. They are determined, obsessed with what they believe in and ready to follow their aims. The characters are mostly unknown to the public, but are still of importance: Lily Cole, an ambassador for Global Angels charity, Theo Walcott, 17 – professional football player, Catherine Banner, 17 – young author, Sophie Christiansen, 18 - horse-rider who took this occupation as a cerebral palsy therapy… Exceptional Youth exhibition is supported by the Make Your Mark Challenge and Enterprise Week, November 13-19.
