Londoners and those who travel to the city by car are warned that there may probably be traffic jams at M4 Elevated Section in Chiswick as there are renovation works carried out at this road, which will only be finished in December 2006. The works are carried out in the six miles territory of motorway between Junction 1 at Chiswick and Junction 3 at Heston. Luckily, most of work is taking place at nighttime, so as not to affect the commuter traffic. At different days, the works are carried out at different sections: Monday to Thursday – section between 2100 and 0600, Friday night – from 2300 and to 0700 and Saturday nights - between 2200 and 0600. Only one carriage way is fully closed, but the drivers are diverted along the A4 Great West Road to the A312, where they are able to rejoin the M4 at junction three. These details may change, however, so keep in pace with the latest news. Also, drivers are advised to be very careful on road and follow all the signs so as not to get into trouble or cause traffic jam.
