This Friday London will see a special event in it’s theater life, as Evita, one of the world's greatest musicals, returns to London's West End after 21 years. The story of Evita is based on Eva Peron’s life – she was the Argentine dictator Juan Peron’s second wife and, at the same time, a strong and complex personality. The Evita will be directed by the award-winning Michael Grandage and feature lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. And, of course, it will be accompanied by an excellent music and songs, such as 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' and 'Another Suitcase in Another Hall', which you could hear at the Alan Parker's 1996 film adaptation starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas. The key roles are performed by Elena Roger as Eva, Philip Quast as Peron and Matt Rawle as Che. Evita is staged at the Adelphi Theatre from 11th of August 2006 till 13th of January 2007.
