Enjoy New Years Eve in London with an impressive fireworks showing. The skies of the capital will be alive with light and colour on 31st December 2005 with a grand fireworks display at the London Eye, promising something particular for New Year’s Eve and the beginning of 2006. This year’s London fireworks display will be produced by the team responsible for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. The spectacle will be visible for miles around, and for hours before and after the streets will throng with revellers making their way to and from parties, clubs and all manner of celebrations. London Mayor Ken Livingstone said: "We will help make it a wonderful evening by providing free all-night transport and a spectacular display to mark the start of the New Year".
